"My Workspace". When is it going to fixed?

I kind of like the new look of the site but that stupid "My Workspace" link is starting to annoy me.

I like to know my current standing on the site and also if I have helped anyone lately.

Before I could get that information from any page as long as I was logged on.

Now I have to go to the link, get pissed when the pop up appears blocking the link with information I don't generally or usually care about appears, then click on the link to load a page, where I then have to click on another tab to FINALLY see the information I am looking for.

I enjoy reading TechRepublic. It has been a great resource for me. I also enjoy helping people with their problems as well as just having the opportunity to exercise some benefit from the experience I have garnerd from my owm trials and tribulations while working with and in IT.

It's a good feeling to know you have helped someone. It shouldn't be so difficult to allow us to enjoy that.

Edited to correct typos generated during venting rant.

The root of the problem is fixing what ain't broke, not fixing what is boke, and breaking what they fix.

It seems that expecting this tech website to have a script that "works" is just to mch to expect.

Not my workplace. It GREAT! "My Workspace"

As in the link with the little green arrow at the top right of your screen if you are logged on.

I miss the instant feedback (o.k. gratification) of seeing my status on the site when I am logged on.

I would also recommend that you actually read the comments you are responding to BEFORE you actually submit.

So you have to click My Workspace, Profile and the Top 100 link, three clicks and you're there. Is it really that hard to do all of that?

You say it's "more clicks" than you had to make prior to the changes to My Workspace; "...clicks" being plural I have to assume you mean that you're now forced to make two more clicks than previously. I call BS as there was never a one-click access to the Top-100 list. Besides that, if you just want to see your status all you have to do is make two clicks, one on My Workspace and the other on Profile. So if you were never able to see the Top-100 list with a single click before at the most you're saying you have to make one *extra* click and you're comparing that one *extra* click on the TR website to the OS Microsoft Vista.

Does all of that sound about right?

We're getting ripped hard man. There no Aero Glass at TR. What's up with that? If they're going to make us endure some of the problems with Vista I say we need to get some of the benefits of Vista. This calls for a revolt. I say that we (you) should boycott TR until they get their sh*t together and make it look like more Vista. Here's our motto, "No extra clicks unless it's slick." Boycott TR. Say it with me, boycott TR!

Okay, now that we've got the problems identified and the solution in mind we (you) need to go ahead and do it. Boycott TR. Damn that extra click.

Before , I could see my current rated Helpful Posts just by simply being logged in. No extra clicking required.

I also could see my activity rating by simply going to "My Workspace". One click.

It's like Chinese Water Torture. It doesn't seem so bad at first, but for those of us that have been under the drip for a while, it does become intolerable.

My original comment was, basically venting my frustration. I freely admit I am completely and deliberately LAZY! An hour spent trying to figure a way to avoid ten minutes of work is an hour well spent.

I like most of the changes in the new design, it has oly been after using the site for while that I have determined what my main peeveis. So I posted it.

You're not the only one who has vented about TR.

Glad you got it out of your system. Seriously. I've had my peeved off moments too. I get over it because, as you say, I like most of the changes in the new design too.
