MY XP PC won’t start the boot-up sequence all the time.

It jsut gets to the Intel inside screen and sits there. I fixed it once with a new DL 2032 battery. It’s a 4+ year old PC and that worked for a couple of weeks and now it’s doing it again. I have used CC Cleaner to keep it cleaned and the registry updated. The last few days it has finally booed up after 15-20 minutes. This morning nothing. I have backed all the data up. I just want to know whether the HD or MB is fried or at least sick. Any ideas?
