N_Case removal

By DarthByrd ·
I recently ran Spybot on an old computer running windows 98 and came up with an error message stating that: "The system has detected a third party application has removed n_case This can cause some programs to not run." How do I correct this?

I've gotten N_Case a few times. There is an unistall for it under add/remove programs. If you've kept the defaults in Spybot, you can restore all the N_case entries and run the removes. Then re-run spybot and get anything that was left over.

Let me know if you have any problems.

n_case and several other programs install when you install some "ad supported" software and desktop themes.

If one of your "free" applications no longer run, you need to decide if you want the ad / spy-ware on your PC.
If the application is worth the hassle of the spy-ware, all you need to do is re-install the application.
