N1000c Power Problem

by jopa . Updated 18 years, 9 months ago

While updating my HTC 8525 phone today I accidentily
dropped it on my laptop. Right above the F1 key is a
three slotted vent. The corner of the phone fell (very
lightly) on this vent and the laptop powered off. It now
has no response to any power functions. I tried
pulling the battery and power cords and waiting quite
some time with nothing. The indicator lights for power
and battery do not light up and there is no response to
pressing the power button. When this unit was under
warrenty they replaced a power controller and that
fixed this issue previously. However before I would get an
a/c charge light when the power cord was plugged in.
This time I have nothing. Is is possible that the fall from
the phone (which was no worse than just closing the
laptop lid itself) caused this power controller to fail
again in less than a year? Any and all info is appriciated.
Thanks in advance.

Joe
