I have exhausted all my resources in finding an error with WindowsME and WinPoET (iVasion PoET Adapter). Everything runs fine, the DSL works well after Tweaking through Dr. TCP. The problems lies when shutting down. I get this error:
FILE NAME : NDIS(04) _ + _ 00010791 ERROR : OE : 0028 : C02955C1
I understand it is connected to the NDIS file being corrupted or incompatable with iVasion’s Adapter or the Kingston KE111TX Network card. Microsoft says it is the vender’s problem. Kingston says tough, go through Earthlink’s Support. DSL (Mindspring – Covad) through Earthlink has nothing to give me except remove the software and upload another “build” of WinPoET 2.1.
If anyone has some web sites to go through and find a newer NDIS (itis now Version 4.90.3000) file or upgrade for WinPoET, I would appreciate it.
