Well, tI'm afraid we need a little more information before being able to say something useful. NW5.0? 5.1? Service Pack? What NDPS gateway(s) do you use? How many printers? Other running applications on the server? Has it always done this?

Your message:
Thank you for your response. To answer your questions I am using Novell 5.1
SPack 5.1.2 v2.0a, with the Hp gateway. the number of printers connected are 26.
I am using a single application which is dos based. The problem starts whenI
try to delete a printer. It just hangs there and now when I try and unload the
NDPS..well I am stuck there.

Manuel, this sounds like an NDS problem, something wrong with the printer-object you tried to delete. Have you tried DSREPAIR? You may have to try "Check External References" in the Advanced options, to look for "obituaries" (=not fully deleted objects)Also, have you checked in NWADMN32.EXE if the printer is really gone?

You should try and not delete the printer object from NWAdmin. Delete the printer object from the server console first and let it delete all references to that printer, including the NDS object.
