Need an Evaluation Document

By vitosemat ·
We are soon having a LAN.I have been asked to draft a sizing document which will be used in justifying purchases for more memory, processors, hard disk space and NIC.I need a sample document that I can be used to evaluate the above taking into consideration the number of users on the LAN and so on.I need a sample plan/criteria on how i can best go about it.Is there a worksheet that i could use to get quick results(A methodology of sorts) Thank you

If I understand what you are looking for correctly , It will depend on few things. I.E. The number of users that you will have connected. The distence between them. ( Are they in the same building ) And what functions your users will be preforming. ( Someone who is using their computer as a word processor will not need the same speed as someone using graphics often. ) It will also depend on your budget. I have not found a 'worksheet ' for these because a fielding plan depends on you individual needs. You may have to start from scratch. Good luck.
