Java Programmer

Company is working on a J2EE architecture that supports component-based development of a multi-tier enterprise application.

This customer is first looking for someone that has a strong background in architecting applications inJava. The preferred candidate will have
experience with UML
and Rational Rose.

The preferred candidate will have experience with Servlets, JSPs, Java Beans (specifically EJBs), Websphere, and XML

The preferred candidate will also be able tosupport JMS; MQ/Series log4j

Company has been working in VisualAge for Java 3.5.3, but they have begun a transition
to WebSphere Studio Application Developer.

For now, we anticipate running our application in WebSphere Application
Server 4.0.

We’re developing designs in Rational Rose.

We are bringing in Rational ClearCase for Configuration Management/Version
Control.

Other essential information:

1. If an offer is extended to a candidate, the hiring arrangement requires
that the candidate work on a 4 month contract to hire arrangement. Since
the position begins as a contract opportunity, there is no reimbursement
for relocation.
2. If a face to face interview is warranted, there will probably not be
reimbursement for travel to and from the interview.
3. This company is targeting the pay rate at a level that doesn’t exceed
60K. However, if there is an EXCEPTIONAL candidate they may be open to a
higher compensation level. Please forward your salary requirements.
4. This position requires that the candidate have very good communication
skills. This position will interface with multiple people.
5. Since this organization is hiring the candidate directly (after the
contract period), they are only considering candidates that have at least a
Permanent Residency status.
