Need assistance with logon

By ctumlin ·
With my NT 4.0 server, initiating my browser will display the network login to our proxy. This allows me to enter my username, password and domain. My NT 4.0 workstations do not permit a domain to be entered. How can I get a domin name into the workstation login.

From NT workstation you need to add the domain this is done when you join a computer to a domain. Go to network icon in control panel and click identification there should be some where you can click change and or add the domain name. Good Luck

Unfortunately, I left out an important fact. The proxy is on one domain and my workstations are on another. All users have a account on both domains. I tried to add the workstation to the proxy's domain but it refused to accept it. Is there a login window similar to NT server for the workstation?

It sounds as thought you have to separate domains. If so you need to setup trusts between them. and then add the domain to your computer.
