Have computer that needs fast interface to rack of hard drives(ide) – audio based needs highspeed. Is a gigabit network the fastest way to connect the drives. How does the speed compare to fiberoptic and the speed the drives run direct from the computer. Both computers are Macs G4 and G5. – running Protools.
