Hi! I was hoping that someone could help me. If you don’t mind I’ll get right to the point because I’m so frustrated!
I’m trying to set up my Outlook 2003 account and it keeps failing the test message.
Here’s what I have. My ISP is aol. My e-mail address is emart1950@aol.com. AOL has given me settings to try but they didn’t work.
I’ve searched the internet and everything I try doesn’t work either.
I check my e-mail messages both the emart1950@aol.com and info@MyConservationBaby.com (which is not set up on AOL) through Incredimail.
When I follow the Outlook 2003 directions to set up an e-mail account they don’t work either when I test the settings.
The first five parameters in the test settings dialog box seem to work. It fails on the send test message parameter.
Here’s the settings I’m using and the error messages I’m getting:

ERROR MESSAGES AFTER TEST:
Send test e-mail message. The specified server was found, but there was no response from the server. Please verify that the port and SSL information is correct.
Find outgoing mail server (SMTP): unable to connect to the outgoing mail server (SMTP). Please verify the server name in the outgoing mail server field. Verify that the port and SSL information is correct.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I’m using XP and IE 7.
