    Need help planning for a new windows server 03/08 with 8 client machines

    I am planning to setup a new server environment but with one physical server running either windows server 2003 standard or 2008 r2 standard for a home loan system which incorporates reporting services and a database for storing & processing of applicants. The system will be working with 8 client machines accessing resources from data, printers, internet etc. We were operating on a work group but the demands have doubled. So any ideas please to simplify this?

      Which version should be slected if i want to use server2008 for PDC role and for users home directories and departmental data storage. i will also apply some third part quota software.
      Server2008 Data center, Server2008 standard, Server2008 enterprise. i need some simple comparison with easy to understand headings.
