I’ve set up a wireless network using WGR614 Netgear Wireless Router.
We have a DSL connection to our internet provider. I have a desktop
running Windows XP and a brand new laptop running Vista. Both
computers can get onto the local network without an issue. The
laptop is using a built in wireless card and the desktop can use either
the hard wired ethernet cable or a wireless card. However the issue
we have is that they can’t both get access to the internet at the same
time. The laptop running vista can get the network and internet if the
desktop is not connected to the network at all. Once the desktop is
connected the laptop no longer gets internet. The internet on the
desktop is flaky at best.
I’m not sure what to do now. I’m not a networking person and i’m at
my wits end! Does anyone have any suggestions?
