May I ask how you know that many small business owners use an inkjet printer and why you need help for this?
Do you personally know some of those? What kind of business do they run, and what reason they have?

The short answer to your question of course is “They use it to print”, which I think is 100% correct, but that might not be the answer you’re looking for.

When I was still a realtor, our small office used both an ink jet and a laser printer. The ink jet was used for day-to-day documents, but the laser printer was used for pictures and professional flyers. Technically we could have gotten by with just one printer, but there were times when we needed both printers. We found that laser printer toner was more expensive than ink jet ink but we managed to balance the usage, right printer for the right job.
