Few things...

by mikeadams1137 In reply to Need help with error/ Out ...

Whokay...

Few things here...first and foremost...

Make sure...ports 25 and 110 TCP / UDP are OPEN on your Firewall. These are the send / receive ports used commonly by POP3 and Outlook and Outlook Express.

If you need help with that, ask and I will assist you.

Verify all your settings are correct...

1) Test your Username / Password, with your ISPs webmail, verify it works.
2) Confirm that the Incoming Mail Server and SMTP Mail server, are set correctly, your ISP will provide you with this information if you ask.
3) that should be it....normally when that happens, you have an error somewhere, and the server is rejecting your attempt to connect with it.

report back when you've done those things..

Call your ISP

This error is generated by the email server. Call your ISP (AT&T or sbcglobal) and discuss the error you're getting with them.
