Need Help with Windows Media Player

By haxdnoob ·
ok, since my mom told me of a certain trailer on some dvd's we got, I go to put it in my computer and play it through Windows Media Player (Version 11.0.6002.18311), and I run a shark007 vista codec package, and something is wrong.

When I play a dvd through it, it will run for a bit, but for some strange reason, afterwards, it crashes.....I do not know what is causing this, and I would very much like to know. And to be honest, this trailer my mom told me about, im REALLY wanting to watch it, but its the one that shows during the first play of it. I know I could probably get to it by putting it in a DVD player, but I'd like to get this problem with Windows Media Player solved first

Try a different codec pack

Generally speaking you should look at third-party stuff first. Bugs are far more likely to be there than in Microsoft code. So in your case, I'd uninstall the shark codec. Personally I use the K-lite codec pack and can't recall WMP ever crashing. Install that and see if the problem is solved.
