Need info about DOCSIS Cable Internet

Can any one out there tell me how to configure a Ethernet connection so it will bind and logon with a new browser? I know DOCSIS binds to your browser. I can get it to logon with one unit, but not another,maybe my settings are wrong…. both adapters are on the HCL for Win2000Pro HELP>>>>> maybe someone can explain to me how DOCSIS works, I hope……
