need info on outlook

my boss has requested to me to set this up. he said he don't know how to do it his self, but where he used to work it would do this. this is using outlook(we are on exchange server) he wants me to set up a document that will be a request for vacation, that will need to be signed off by a list of people in a certain order, and he said the way it was there was it would come to you and you would put a check in it at your name on the document then it would go to the next guy in line to put his check in the box, and so on and so on. any ideas what he is asking or how to do it? i know what he's asking i guess just no idea how to implement it?

Steve,

It sounds like you need to create an email form in outlook that has checkboxes beside the names of all the people who must approve the vacation. There are many books out there on how to creat forms. You can also check on the Microsoft knowledge site to get more information about forms.

Which Outlook are you using? You could make a simple Word document with a table. If using Outlook 2000, you can do this from within Outlook by going to File\Office document. From there go into Word and make your request form with a table.
