Need more than 5 backups in SCANREG

I’ve increased my registry backups in WIN 98SE Sysbckup folder to 20 but can only access 5 in SCANREG. Where is the registry key for Scanreg so I can put all 20 in there to choose from. Also, is there a book or website on registry keys?
thanks,
