Need new licences of Ghost Solution suite

We currently have 600 licences of Ghost solution suite 1.1 (Symantec) and our maintenance has expired.
What problems may arise if we dont renew our maintenance contract for our current version 1.1 licences and buy 200 new licences of version 2.0 for our 200 new PCs ?
