Need Software to Monitor CPU/Memory Usage

    Locked

    by demonjrules ·

I have a employee that has told me that his computer just gets really slow sometimes. It doesn’t matter which program he is using, ie Firefox/Eclipse, it just gets painfully slow to the point where sometimes he needs to restart the machine. The computer was working fine but then we reinstalled windows 7 and this problem started happening. Anyone know of any good software to monitor the computer and tell us what exactly is causing this problem? Thanks!

Machine is a Dell Precision M6300
    Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
    Core 2 duo @ 2.1GHz
    4GB RAM
    NVIDIA Quadro FX 1600M

If after checking that it’s clean of MalWare and Virus, create another account with the same access and log in with that account. See if the problem follows.

If it does then you need to look at what services, applications, etc. are running. Resource Manager (resmon) is pretty decent and providing you a quick look at what is going on.

If the problem does not follow then it’s most likely something in the users profile.

Could be an over-heating problem, make sure the fans/vents aren’t blocked.
Also, why did you reinstall Windows? Was there a problem? It could be
the original problem has now worsened. Might need to defragment the
hard drive (s) as well as cleaning the temp, cache, etc.

You don’t need a another program or software.. You only need to change your OS from WIndows 7 x64bit to Windows 7 x86 also known as 32bit..
WIndows 7 x64 need a minimum requirements of 4GB of RAM and you have. Means minimum not powerful.. On x86 Windows 7 requires a Maximum for 4GB of RAM means MAX or Powerful…
Exactly what I say, you only need to change your OS or reformat your machine.
