ok im trying to give a computer a second life. a Dell dimension 2300. the person took every singthing out except the motherboard cdrom and floppy drives. they took the powersupply prossesor hard drive and hardrive monuting bracket and ram. thee computer was basilly striped. i got a prossesor and powersupply that i know work. i checked the prosessor with the motherboard. the motherboard uses a 1.8GHz p4 with 400fsb and i got a 1.7GHz p4 with 400fsb i have a power supply tester and i also had the power supply in another computer so i know it works. so the problem is is that the computer just starts once when i plug in the power and it never does again once i power it down. and nothing pops up on the screen. i was guessing VGA but to my knowlege that would not affect the computer starting up. the power supply would but it is 100% working so im clueless. and onother thing there are no beeps from the intergrated speaker on the motherboard. get back to me with any ideas
