Need suggestions for Disclaimer

By Old Guy ·
We have installed a separate VLAN public internet access at our office for the patients and case managers to use the Internet without being on our network. We need to come up with some type of disclaimer or acceptable usage blurb to post at the Check In desk and on our information sheet. I was wondering if you folks have any suggestions or if there might be a generic type of blurb to use as a starting point. Thanks for your suggestions.

This is a private system, any unauthorized use or misuse of the system will be prosecuted. We log all activity that takes place of this connection and it is possible we will monitor your activity directly.

We make every effort to may this system available, secure, confidential, and with accurate information. We however do not imply any warrenty nor do we assure zero data loss.

You'll also need to include your acceptable use policy as well as your generic technology usage policy.

Does that help?

good start. Especially the zero data loss reference. Thanks again.

BTW, I noticed you list Albuquerque as your location. We'll be coming through there and spending the night on June 30 heading to Crownpoint. We love to go to Old Town and eat at the Mexican restaurant there.

Drop me a line...

If you get a chance, take the tram to the top of the peak. It is a wonderful view and very clear that time of year.

There is also a great place called El Pinto on the north end of town. If you really like Old Town, there is a good place called La Hacienda. Personally, I like El Pinto (it has a huge patio)....

I'll have check into El Pinto, I don't remember the name of the Mexican Restaurant in Old Town but it's pretty good size and, of course, has a tourist store with it.

We drive from Memphis, TN, leaving about 6 a.m. CST and get into Albuquerque usually around 9 or 10. This year we'll have about 60 of us. We usually hang out in Old Town and leave there about noon to head on into Crownpoint. Since there are so many of us we stay at one of our sister congregations that have a really big life center.

very succinct. These will definitely help in guiding us to create our own Acceptable Use and Disclaimer, particularly for the public access. Of course, I will only use what you have listed as a guide. Thanks for your help.
