I have been assigned to a computer of a previous employer. When trying to sign-on I get a screen asking for user id and password. In the user id blank the former employees name is given. The password blank has nothing in it-alas, the problem. We have no way of knowing what the former employee’s password was but need to get access to information in the computer. Is there a way to change the password. The operating system is Windows XP professional.
