Need Windows Clustering Documentation

By Joseph Moore ·
Hello all. Here is my situation.
I need to read up on Clustering in Win2K/Win2K3 for a meeting Tuesday afternoon. And so far today (Monday) has been very busy. I was going to look up Clustering today, but I can tell I won't have the time.
So, here is what I need. Documentation (web pages, good Technet articles, white papers) on setting up Clustering in Win2K/Win2K3.
Specifically, I need to understand how Clustering works in 2 scenarios: with IIS running a single website with the Windows machines running Clustering Services, and SQL Server 2000 running in a Cluster.
Basically, our company is gonna host a website, with a SQL Server back end, and they want both pieces running in a Cluster with 2 IBM xSeries servers apiece.
There will be an IIS box and the SQL Server box on the same subnet in the same location, and the 2nd IIS box and 2nd SQL Server box on a different subnet at a different physical location (with a DS3 between the two locations).
I need to understand setting up the two different Clusters for both a hot standby mode (where the 2nd server is only used if the 1st server dies) and in a load balancing scenario (where both servers handle requests equally).
My company will probably opt for the hot standby option, though.
Now I have read about Clustering Services, but I have never worked worked with it. This will be my first time!
So, I need links to specific good articles/documents. Please don't suggest the Clustering Services page at the Win2K section of Microsoft.com
I know that one! I just don't have the time today to crawl through it all and find good info that I can read tonight/tomorrow morning.
I need this info Monday, Feb 16, 2004 by 10PM CST! Nothing like a deadline. At that time, I will check in, see what is posted, pull down the articles, and assign points.

Thanks for helping me with my fact-checking.
Joe

It's hard to come up with references that you would not have researched. Here are a few:

Just to ensure you have the same link because this one holds most of the info you need for clustering / sql.

Thanks for the checklist. It also led to the Technet links at the top of the page, where there was more useful stuff listed.

Thanks for the links, ya'all. I now have a whole bunch to read Tuesday morning, and I think it will be very advantageous.
Thanks for all your help. After reading all of this, my brain might explode, but I will definately understand Clustering!
