At last count there were 36 processes running on my older (2003)laptop running XPpro. I know I’ve got to upgrade and have gotten a new toshiba Vista home premium ; however, this older computer, along with 2 others, has been a workhorse and is still useful for field project work. It seems to me there are several processes running that maybe don’t need to be, and may be slowing down the computer. We’re talking 4 minutes or longer boot time. Is there any way to know what should be running and what shouldn’t be? Thanks in advance for your help.
Respectfully,
