Nested Quotes in ASP

By galahad04 ·
Hi, I was wondering about how ASP coding conventions work when you're using nested/double quotes. For example, I was not able to get the following code to work (below), because of the double quotes in the VALUE field:

<input type="hidden" value="<%=Request.QueryString("NameFirst")%>" name=NameFirst>

I have never had this problem. In what way is your ASP failing? Do you get an error message? Is the value of the field turning up blank?

I guess the code was OK after all...not sure though why one day it was working and the other day it decided not to. Thanks anyway for your suggestion!

In response to Jay's question -- I tried running the ASP script again and fortunately it worked this time...for some strange reason when I was running it the other day, it was showing parts of the HTML code block instead of the ASP script.
