.net programming too competitive

by sbshumate . Updated 20 years, 7 months ago

Been programming for years and between jobs once again. All my experience is in microsoft, visual studio 6 and .net technologies. Interviews seem to be far inbetween and quite competitive.

What I am thinking about doing is starting learning a new language where I won’t get 15 people per interview and only one job.

I was thinking about going Oracle, SAP, People Soft, and Oracle database.

Any suggestions on how getting started. Does this technology have anything like Microsoft Certification to prove to the employer a certain level of competance.

Any sugguestions of where getting started on how to cut the competition tree down.
