.net runtime failed to co-create profiler

By whbaird ·
I have Win 7, 64 bit. As I have some problems, I downloaded Profiler from Microsoft. I wanted to delete it immediately, but it apparently left traces behind. I now get message: "net runtime vers. 2.0.50727.5466 - failed to co-create profiler". As the above version 2. of net runtime has been disabled in the Management Console and I already have version 4, would I be able to eliminate the error message, if I deleted version 2. I realize that some changes to the Registry environmental variables might fix the issue, but I cannot find the ones, that are mentioned by users on the Internet. I have run sfc SCANNOW, Registry Cleaners, Uninstallers, but nothing helps. I get the error message many times/day. Helga
