By zeeshan_tahir ·
our network is based on client and domain system. now i want to disable the net send command totally from the client users those have limited access rights. its possible to stop the messenger service and allow the specific user to use the messenger service but for this i have to maually go to every system and to do the specfic job. i want to do this from my server which is the main domain controller.

Net Send Command

If your asking can the Net Send command be stopped/disabled from a DC, the answer is yes. See KB256345 How to configure Group Policy to Set Security for System Services. Be carefull -- disabling the Messenger Service (Net Send) will effect any service that depends on it e.g. NetBios Interface, Ply and Play, Remote Precudure Call, Workstation, etc.
