net use command

By kdenny ·
I issued the "net use" command to redirect files from lpt1 to a network queue. I was thinking that upon reboot that the command I issued would no longer be in effect, but it is. Does anybody know how to "undo" that?

Use the command net use (where ever you rediected your LPT1 port to) /d

eg net use \\server3\printer1 /d

The /d will permanantly delete this port mapping.

Your net use command has created an persistent connection. To avoid this, use the following syntax -

net use f: \\myserver\share /persistent:no

This tells the sysem to drop the mappng when your current session closes
