I can't get the net use command to work so I can't map to my other computer, why's that?

net use command

It's hard to say without knowing what operating system you have, what kind of network (protocols, etc.) and what you mean by "it doesn't work".

Generally to connect two computers, you have to install and configure the network adapters, configure the protocols, connect the two with a hub or crossover cable, and create file shares.

If you can re-post with more information, (especially any error codes you see when you try the "net use" command) you'll probably get the answer you need to make it work.

net use command

Thanks. I guess I should have said that I am running Windows 98 and have the win98 cab files shared on that computer. On the client I have Dos 6.22 installed but how do I get the net use command to work? How would I install those protocols don't they come with Dos? I mean, every OS comes with protocols right. I know how to install protocols in win9x or NT (by right-clicking on network neighborhood) but how do I accomplish this in Dos?
