We use an accoutning program that is based in a dos box. When I issue the command of net use to redirect my lpt1 to the network printer it will lock up the program. Does any one know what I am doing wrong? I use this syntax. net use lpt1: \\netware server\printsever\printer queue.

As far as I know, NET USE is _not_ a command supported by the NW client. For disk 'shares' NW uses MAP, for printerqueues it uses the CAPTURE (and ENDCAP) commands.
If you're using the Microsoft client for NW instead of the Novell one it mightbe slightly different, but still the nw commands (in DOS box) seem more reliable than MS-syntax...
Thanks for the advice. I tried this and it did redirect the queue but it still would not work. We did find a soultion to it. We are getting the upgarde to the program next month. Thanks for the help.
