NETBIOS & Traffic Problem

In the advanced settings for TCP/IP on the WINS tab, disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP

Is your lan connected directly to your ISP without a firewall or router? IF you have a firewall or router, you can set them so they do not pass NetBIOS traffic to your ISP.

You may be running some applications that use NetBIOS. Use NetMon to look at the traffic on your LAN to see if you can figure out where the traffic is coming from.

Good Luck,
