I just started this job 2 weeks ago. I came into a situation of the IS Dept doing some major changes, and the main person for implamenting these changes has know left and I have taken his position. Everything is now running (smooth) 🙂 but we are having problems with the print servers. The work stations are win95 and 98, the server is NT. When they send a print job to the printer connected to these print servers, the queue shows the OWNER as being “PRINT SERVER” and the date is 01-01-1970. It will then lock up and require USER INTERVENTION. The only way I have been able to get them back up and running is to uninstall the printer and reinstall. But this only works for a few print jobs and then does the same thing. Can someone please help, this does not look good for me being the new guy.:)
