Hello all,
I hope this is a simple fix, but I am down at my parents house and trying to help them with their tech needs, and connect up more computers to their home wireless network. They have a Netgear RangeMax WPN824v2, and have gotten the wireless network already set up. It has been given a name and password to access it. (A kid down the street helped.) I have managed to connect other computers to this wireless network (e.g. my Thinkpad x40), but now cannot connect my mom’s Toshiba Satellite. I have tried:
1) clicking on “view wireless networks” – the network does not even appear.
2) setting up a wireless network (with what I am pretty sure is the wireless network settings) – the network still doesn’t appear.
3) restarting, shutting down, all of the above – no networks show up in the “view wireless networks” box
This seems odd since all the other computers can see the network just fine. I’m stuck – any suggestions?
