Netmeeting & Windows 2000

By mablair88 ·
I have been unable to use Netmeeting since installing Windows 2000 on my system. An error message is received saying that the directory server (ie ils.microsoft.com) can not be located. I tried connecting using microsoft's recommended port for Windows 2000 (ils.microsoft.com:389) however this does not work either. Any other suggestions ... I've seemed to have exhausted MS's support on this issue.

Well, I think the problem lies in the fact that there is no ils.microsoft.com

I just checked Netmeeting on my machine just then and mine couldn't find any server by that name either. I suggest finding an ILS server on the internet. Just search ona decent search engine. Hope this helps!

The problem has been solved ... I was missing files from my netmeeting folder and had another 2000 user send me a zipped copy of the folder. Another problem existed in two audio management applications for the sound being loaded. Netmeeting was the only application affected by this.
