Everything depends on the versions of NN and IE. Generally creating web sites with NN is not a problem (all IE users should be able to use and access it fine).

Almost always the problem is in reverse... some websites created in IE are not accessible from NN (especially when using the older versions of NN) or they may be accessible but appear stange in NN.

Ultimately it all depends on the coding and the versions of add-ins that are supported by the version of NN that your university is telling you to use. But even if you are using the older versions (3.0), IE is backward compatible.

Yes you will most likely have problems with Netscape and IE when it comes to security viewing web sites, they have different security settings, to resolveso you will need to make a choice to set Netscape as the default or not set a default browser

You may choose html instructions who are compatible with I.E and netscape.... The only way to know what are those instructions is to test them with I.E and Netscape.
