I must download (save to my hard drive) a PDF file then open it. When I try to
read it from the web the Adobe splash screen appears then disappears.
Though the Task Manager lists Adobe Acrobat under the Processes tab the application is not visible. Also, the status bar of Netscape Navigator displays the percentage of file read and “Done” but no file appears and no Acrobat.
