netware client

By Mair ·
does anyone know how to suppress the login for a netware client. In other words, I would like the login not to popup. I have looked through the registry and can't find anything to turn it off. the operating system is windows98 using nwclient. I don't want this station to use the network all the time only once in a great while....... instead of having to reload client everytime. I have tried to use windows login instead of novell netware and it doesn't work.

thanks,

Looks like a bug somewhere...
I have a W98 lab machine with both Novell client and MS connection. When in Network Properties I set 'Microsoft' as primary logon, the Novell client never pops up.
Maybe try upgrading to latest patches/versions of both MS and Novell?

Hope thiz helpz,

Hi,

I don't think it's possible.

If you don't use any applications that specifically requires Novell client, you can use the Client for Netware Networks supplied with win98.

It will still allow you to login & do the basic file & print functions.

Hope this helps. :)
