A network consisting of two servers running windows server 2003 and TCP/IP protocols, and PCs that have been cloned from one PC using a ghost program, all PCs running windows XP. A user is having problems logging on to the network, what could be preventing the user from logging on?

What are the symptoms? The first thing that comes to mind since you mention Ghost, is the machind SIDs.

Sounds like you're using Active Directory, but it also sounds from your description that you Ghosted a working PC rather than a sysprep'd PC, and therefore all machines will have the same SID.

If the above is true, then download and use NewSID ( and use it on all the cloned PC's and rejoin them all to the AD.

If you're still having the login problem after new SID's and rejoining the AD, then look at the event logs on the workstation and DC for any clues related to the logon problem and post the events.
