Network Admin. Pay?

By Soylantgreen ·
What's the lowest amount of money (either hourly or salary) that you've made as a Network Admin.?
And if you WERE getting paid less than you deserved, how did you make management realize how valuable you really were?
Do you think that current economic trends mean less pay for us Admins?

It depends

by crisanderson In reply to Network Admin. Pay?

It depends on where you live. Network admins can make on average between 40K - 65K some maybe higher some lower. You may get more pay living in Seatle or Silcon Valley, but then again the cost of living is much higher.

If the pay wasn't worth the pain, then leave. There are plenty of other business's that can use a good techy.

In answer to your 3rd question, not really. I mean most companies cut down on cost by letting go employee's, but as far as salary goes for the admins, my opinion is no, It just depends on the company you work for.

Hope this helps.
