I have a Windows2000 Pro machine that does not see all of the Domains and Workgroups that should be available under “My Network Places”. The same machine will show about 15 domains and workgroups when booted in Win98 (which would seem to eliminate any hardware issues), but only 2 in Win2000. Another PC (NT4 Server) in the same domain sees all available resources. I have taken the Win2000 PC out of the domain and put it back in. The network is not subnetted and does not use WINS. I use IPX and TCP/IP. NetBIOS over IP is enabled. File and Print Sharing is enabled. I can hit other machines using UNC. I can ping the other machines. Any idea why I can’t see more on the network?
