I am facing a problem in my client place they r having two Windows XP Pro systems connected by a crossover cable, both of the systems are login as administrator with blank password, One system is connecting to the internet by dialup and is sharing the connection to the other system and it is working fine, but the problem is the dialing system can't access the other system i mean can't open any shared resources in that system whereas the other system can access all the shared resources in the dialing system. When the dialing system trying to access the other system it is giving an error message that "Access Denied".Please send me a solution for the same.

On the Lan connection you must give it a static ip. IE for one computer Machine 1 ip 192.168.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0 gateway leave blank
machine 2 ip 192.168.0.2 subnet 255.255.255.0 gateway blank
Also you may want to run the network wizard. Make sure you brdige anything though. Second if they are any firewall you may wanna disable temp. to see if you can make the connection to the other machine. You may also have to turn on the guest acct Sometimes you\dont.
On the second (non dialing) PC, verify that file and printer sharing is turned on (double click the network icon and make sure it is listed and checked. If not, install. Another thing to try: add an account for the first pc (example: \\dialingpc\admin) to the users of the secondary pc and give it admin privileges. Good luck.
