Server 1 is Windows 2003 SBS, Server 2 is Windows 2000 Server. Both members of the same domain. Server 1 is the domain controller. Copying files between the two is incredibly slow (like .05 MB/s), but copying files to and from Server 1 to another PC on the network is fast, and copying files to and from Server 2 to another PC on the network is fast. All the equipment is plugged into the same switch.
Server 2 has a Gigabit NIC which reported it had a Gigabit connection even though the switch only supports 100Mb/s. I set it to 100Mb/s Full Duplex in the past and it fixed this problem, then it happened again and I changed it back to Auto and that fixed the problem. Now I changed it back to 100Mb/s and the problem is still there.
Any ideas on what would cause this? There are no relevant errors in the Event log.
