I have a Windows 2000 Server acting as file server on a reasonably sized network which has developed a strange problem.
When anyone attempts to use Terminal Services to connect to it (or sometimes shortly after they connect) the NIC drops connectivity and only a reboot will get it active again.
The server has been in place for over a year and has only recently developed this problem, the NIC is on-board so the Motherboard has been replaced, this has not helped so we are sure it is not a hardware issue.
I have applied the latest HotFixes etc and this has not helped. And before anyone asks, no I didn’t install the security rollup package!
TechNet has been no help whatsoever, I’ve been trawling through articles all morning!
Any info / assistance would be much appreciated.
