We are currently running on a Win 2000 server with most of our data residing on a Iomega NAS server which runs Win 2003 Server (Appliance Edition). We have a small network and our workstations are Win 2000 and Win XP. On our latest machines (Dell sx280 and GX620) the connection to the NAS server times out around 6:30 to 7:00PM everyday. The workstation has to be rebooted to gain access to the NAS server again. The connection to the Domain Win 200 server never looses connection. I am not sure if I am dealing with a Win XP or NAS Win 2003 server problem. Any ideas why the connection to the NAS server would time out or disconnect the same time everyday??
