Network crashes

There are two machines using peer to peer – CAT 45 – Win98 and all is well. One day we find that trying to access the internet via one crashes both. I’ll have more info when I’ve got time but any thoughts to be going on with.

Check ip adresses, DNS and gataway, if using router.
You can see each PC on the network if using Netbeui, but break CSMACD if bad ip config.

Sound like a full set of collision saturating the network.
I’ve seen once a deffective network card downing a network.
