network disconcecting in win2000 pro

i installed win2000 pro on celeron 500 256 mb ram pc os work fine but after 10 to 15 minit pc not in network .i chenged network card but not help me.why this happen plse tell me plse plse.

Well, your failure is not really clear !

a) What do you mean with "not in network"
Since Windows 2000 your network-drives/folders
may appear with a red X ! This looks like you
lost connection to your network - but this is
not true ! Just double-click these drives and
you will have full access to your files

b) ... dont know what else could be the problem - sorry !!

Another thing to check. Microsoft has a built in 'time out' feature for networking. Any network connection will automatically disconnect after about 15 minutes.

On each system that is having the problem, try typing at a command prompt....
net config server /autodisconnect:-1
This will set the time out to an indefinite period. In otherwords it will not time out at all.
