Network drive

By sb ·
I am using Win XP Pro. Is it possible to change/increase the capacity of a mapped drive/network drive? By default the mapped drive gets 1 GB. I need to increase that.

This sounds like a quota is set. This is done on the server, so you'll have to get the network admin to do this for you, unless of course that's you. This is changed by editing or removing the disk quotas on the server.

The Benefit of keeping a quota limit is more on the administration side of the network to keep people from putting a whole a lot of junk that is not needed. It also allocates space for other users in the network.
